Heart + Mind + Spirit

Do you find yourself juggling everything but not really succeeding at anything?

Are you a woman, mom, wife, and employee – among so many other things? And does it feel like you don’t have enough time in each day to do what you need to (let alone want to)?

You’re striving for that perfect balance, but it never seems possible. You’re feeling exhausted and overwhelmed. You know that it must be better than this, but you’re not sure what to do.

I totally get it. I’ve been there, and I can help you get a new perspective on your work-life balance.

“The challenge of work-life balance is without question one of the most significant struggles faced by modern man.”
-Stephen Covey

TracyJoy Goal Setting

I’m sure you’ve heard of the illusive “work-life balance”. Is it something that you’re striving to achieve? Have you stopped to ask yourself what it is that you are specifically trying to achieve. What does work-life balance really mean to you? What exactly do you want and why?  Can you have that now? The answer is yes. You can have that now.

To me, finding a balance is the most compassionate wonderful thing we can do for ourselves, and I believe it to be one of the most spiritual practices.

You may think “I don’t have time to fit anything more into my schedule” or “Balance isn’t possible right now with being a working mom.”  But the truth is that work-life balance is possible because its NOT about time! Finding your balance is about:

Managing Your Mind

Balance begins with you. It starts in your mind. This is a beautiful thing because we can stop focusing on all those external demands (children, work, house, meals, partner, etc), and shift focus to ourselves and what we can control: our thoughts, feelings and actions.

Emotional Energy

You can’t rearrange your schedule and find balance because you aren’t trying to balance time! You’re try to balance your energy, and about 70% of your energy comes from emotional energy.

The enjoyed the connection! Tracy and I have similar experiences so I liked that. I was able to tell Tracy things that bothered me and she totally understood what I was talking about. Sometimes it’s hard for other people to understand what we go through in our field, especially being married to other engineers, but she totally got me. And I’m really glad she called me on my BS. I really needed that.

I loved that Tracy completely understood my innermost thought challenges and had practical solutions for them. I also loved that she and I have a common spiritual belief system because I didn’t need to filter or translate anything I said. Tracy just got it and our conversations could move swiftly to the real issues. Tracy is great at identifying the truth in complex and confusing situations.

Tracy has made a significant shift in my life by helping me discover my blind spots. The awareness I now have has been pretty remarkable in that I no longer mentally sabotage myself. I am now open to new possibilities and this is causing a positive change in my life.

Experiencing. Period

What if the entire purpose of life was to experience. Just experience. Period. I kinda like this thought.   Firstly, if this was the case, then there are no good or bad or perfect or imperfect experiences. Everything is just an experience. We don't have to wait...

Science and Spirituality

I grew up with science and sort of avoided spirituality. I liked facts, systems, organization, explanations, prediction and control. I used to think of spirituality as “out-there” stuff…and to be honest, I didn’t think much more than that. I didn’t even let myself...
